What is FBAR?
FBAR stands for Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts. It is a U.S. Treasury requirement (FinCEN Form 114) that requires U.S. persons to report their financial accounts located outside of the United States.
This includes bank accounts, investment accounts, brokerage accounts, and certain other financial accounts in foreign countries when the aggregate value of those accounts exceeds $10,000 at any time during the calendar year.
FBAR is separate from your tax return. It is not reported to the IRS, but to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). Failure to file can result in significant penalties, even if taxes are paid in full.
We make the FBAR process simple, accurate, and stress-free—so you can stay compliant and protect what you’ve worked hard to build.
